Happy New Year!

Antipasto Board

Well, we say good bye to 2016 and now say hello to 2017! 2016 has been hard for a few. We have lost quite a few icons. We must stay positive and welcome 2017 with open arms. I had a small dinner party with family at my home. I like to skip the hustle and bustle and enjoy a cozy night with the ones I love. We wanted to keep it light since we all over indulged in the last few days. But how can I!

I started the evening with finger foods to munch on such as this antipasto platter.

Antipasto Platter

I used a large wooden cutting board and laid out some cut melon, prosciutto, different cheese, olives and homemade rosemary flatbreadĀ . Don’t get intimidated with the flatbread. I promise you it’s so easy and fast to make and most of all delicious!

This large platter disappeared by the end of the night. The guests preferred nibbling on this than eating a full course meal. We were all too full for dinner!

Don’t be shy, you can make a smaller version of this platter using a smaller board and serve it up with your favorites. Cured meats, maybe a pate, dried fruit, crackers and of course your favorite drink! Just have fun with it!

A smaller scale of this platter would be great when having some friends come over. It’s nice and healthy and the presentation is stunning!
